ABOUT INDONESIA
Indonesia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) recorded a total of US$511.49.38 billion placing the country eighteenth in the world.
Figures for the year 2010 are expected to see a 24.30% increase, registering a US$670.42 billion GDP. Reviewing the figures, experts foresee a significant increase in the coming years. It is believed that by year 2015, Indonesia’s GDP will record a whopping US$1,172.10 billion.
With a population of around 230 million people, it is the world’s fourth most populous country. Apart from that, it is also the largest economy in South-east Asia with its major imports coming from machinery and equipment, chemicals, fuels and foodstuffs.
